Monster Book Fair... Coming Soon!


Oakland Elementary Book Fair

   The Scholastic Book Fair will be held at OES Monday, October 19 through Thursday, October 22 in the Media Center.  Each classroom will be visiting the Book Fair for 25 minutes.  The schedule is listed below.  The Book Fair will also be open from 2 – 5 pm on Tuesday afternoon (Parent/Teacher Conference Day) if you would like to shop with your child.  The attached flyer shows a sample of what will be available for sale.  In addition, if you would like to help in buying books for your child’s classroom, a teacher wish list will be available at the fair.  Profits from the fair will go towards purchasing new library books. Thanks for your support!

SUMMER CELEBRATION

   Students that completed the summer reading treasure map, Camp Wonderopolis, and/or the Summer Learning Academy were treated to a watermelon party and extra recess time today.  We are proud of our students that took extra initiative to learn more over the summer break!  Here are some pictures from the celebration:
