Book Fair - Spring 2015

The Scholastic Book Fair will be held at OES Monday, March 23rd through Friday, March 27th (9am) in the Media Center.  Each classroom will be visiting the Book Fair for 25 minutes.  The schedule is listed below.  The Book Fair will also be open from 5:45-6:30 pm on Tuesday evening (prior to the PTA meeting) if you would like to shop with your child.  The attached flyer shows a sample of what will be available for sale.  In addition, if you would like to help in buying books for your child’s classroom, a teacher wish list will be available at the fair.  Profits from the fair will go towards purchasing new library books. Thanks for your support!

* To volunteer to help at the fair, please email schen1@charter.net or angireland@yahoo.com.  Thanks! *

We also invite students to participate in Beach Day by dressing up in appropriate beach attire on Thursday, March 26th!  Hawaiian Leis will be sold for $1 during the Book Fair, with all proceeds going to Relay for Life (see attached flyer).

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

We welcomed the Cat in the Hat to Oakland today to help us kick off our Read Across America Week. He even did a little dancing with us at our Boosterthon Fun Run!
