Benjamin Franklin Visit

First and fourth graders at OES enjoyed a visit with "Benjamin Franklin" yesterday.  

He shared information about his life, his inventions, and his role in history.

Today was Wild West Wednesday at the Book Fair!  We enjoyed seeing all of our cowgirls and cowboys!

Oakland Elementary Book Fair

              Dear Parents,

    The Scholastic Book Fair will be held at OES Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19 in the Media Center.  Each classroom will be visiting the Book Fair for 25 minutes.  The schedule is listed below.  The Book Fair will also be open from 2 – 5 pm on Tuesday afternoon (Parent/Teacher Conference Day) if you would like to shop with your child.  The attached flyer shows a sample of what will be available for sale.  In addition, if you would like to help in buying books for your child’s classroom, a teacher wish list will be available at the fair.  Profits from the fair will go towards purchasing new library books. Thanks for your support!
